GARY EAGAN: "VESSELS: EAST WIND SERIES" STEVE BEACHAM: "DECONSTRUCTED
FORMS"
Spring Street Pottery porcelain is created in one
of the longest-running studios in Eureka Springs. Located one
level below our gallery, it was established in 1970 by Gary
Eagan. Steve Beacham completed the team arriving in 1979. Gary,
one of Eureka’s most well-known and collected porcelain artists,
will be introducing his newest collection, Vessels: East Wind
Series. Gary has altered traditional shapes, glazes, and conceptions
of pottery to create this newest group of work. Steve will also
be challanging traditional concepts of ceramic shapes with his
new series of pieces he calls "DE-CONSTRUCTED FORMS". He has
chosen to de-construct a wheel thrown vessell and then reconstruct
it using copper lacing. A reception for the two artists will
